Established in 2011 by Justin and Tiffany Smetana, Solid Rock On Which We Stand is a family-owned agency that provides adults with developmental disabilities exceptional adult-day programs and community-based services in Geauga County. Our newly remodeled headquarters is based in Chardon, Ohio, just south of the square. Through our strong Christian faith, we nurture, develop independence, and ensure that the individuals we serve feel safe and included in a family-friendly setting.
At Solid Rock, we work closely with each individual and staff member to discover their gifts and strengths while challenging them to share with their peers and the local community. This approach allows everyone to reach their full potential and do so confidently while allowing each person involved in the Solid Rock agency to discover God’s love and purpose

Tiffany Smetana obtained her degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2004 and entered the DD field in 2006. She gained experience working in a school setting with children having moderate to severe Autism and also helped develop and run a residential home for adults before establishing Solid Rock in 2011. Having worked every aspect of the business, including DSP, Site/Program Manager, and Human Resources, Tiffany has the ability to see each piece of the puzzle, guiding the Solid Rock Agency to success. A certified Behavioral Intervention trainer, Tiffany enjoys teaching staff and community members to see the world through the eyes and perspective of an individual with DD. Tiffany is deeply passionate about the work that she does, the clients that Solid Rock serves and takes great pride in mentoring others to achieve their full potential.
Andrea has been an integral part of the Solid Rock family since early 2019, ensuring that the team has everything they need to succeed. Originally from England, Andrea brings a host of financial and business experience from both sides of the Atlantic. Working tirelessly and taking great pride in everything she does, Andrea helps Solid Rock to constantly improve and turn our agency's goals into reality by working closely with each department. She always makes herself available to support our valuable staff members, ensuring their needs are addressed and their job experiences are positive. The dedication and creativity Andrea presents are well matched to the needs of Solid Rock and have been central in her constantly expanding her scope of influence, with ever increasing challenges.
Enjoying a decades long career in health care and the field of special needs, Laura Lawrence has been an integral part of the Solid Rock management team since 2018. Laura helped establish Solid Rock’s Adult Day Support Program in 2021. Her passion in advocating for the support of those she serves is unparalleled and she has a knack for organizing incredible person-centered activities and outings, while always encouraging individuals to learn and grow. Laura is enthusiastic about creating meaningful relationships within the community and partners with other organizations in our service-based outreach program; a push out model where our groups integrate and volunteer their time and talents to serve the community’s needs.
Heather began her career in the DD field with Solid Rock in the Spring of 2016. Throughout the years, Heather has been a consistent and dedicated staff. As the Assistant Director of the ADS, she serves our individuals with unrelenting compassion and love. She is equally as passionate about positive cohesion with her co-workers and works closely with our staff to grow as the needs of our individuals change. Heather's ability to lift others up as well as see through the eyes of our special friends is unique and contributes to the great success of our program!
Justin Smetana was introduced to the DD field in 2005. He served as a respite care provider and worked in a high school unit, helping young students with moderate to severe Autism transition into the next chapter of their lives. Justin then gained several years of experience in the residential sector, supporting adults in home and community settings before helping to establish Solid Rock in 2011. Having himself been diagnosed with Level 1 Autism in 2017, Justin brings a unique perspective to our agency which allows for a deeper insight into the lives of the individuals we serve. His charisma and easy-going personality brightens the day and brings reassurance to our clients.
